For questions and problems with the CMS core. This board is NOT for any 3rd party modules, addons, PHP scripts or anything NOT distributed with the CMS made simple package itself.
I am using CMS Made Simple 1.5.4 "Carolina" and I am trying to change the order of the links in the left hand nav. I cannot seem to find a way to do this in the admin.
I added a new link and its at the bottom and I would like to move it to the top.
This is also a (VERY) noob question, but what is the page hierarchy? Is it just the menu under Pages from the admin section? If so i cannot drag anything, it appears to just be text. Thank you for putting up with my nooboscity.
use the up/down arrows, or click the "reorder pages" link at the bottom of the page to get an Ajax-y drag'n drop interface, which is MUCH faster if you have many pages to move, or even if you just have one page that needs to move several positions.
Hmm, I feel pretty noob, but I am not seeing these links. Is it possible I am using some sort of navigation plugin or module or whatever that has a different layout than the stock CMSMS menu? It looks like I am using the DreamSimple template with the "Left simple navigation + 1 column" subtemplate, don't know if this helps.
I did not make this site so am really flying blind here. Thanks for the help guys.

Aha! I bet you're right. Someone set up this site for my boss and then gave her a long & p/w. It probably doesnt have all the admin permissions or whatever... I will see if I can get another login and see if it has more functionality. Thanks!
