I almost never show sites I've built, but I build a lot of sites, templates etc., I don't design them, this is one I did and had some help implementing some jQuery pop ups for news articles etc. on the Whenua page...

Warning home page has music/sound...

Each section is styled differently using a parent page alias class tag to change background of the logo and content head images and the color scheme so no need to make multiple templates...

contact page, left column "SOME NAME #2", etc.?  needs populating with real content?

also, I don't see anywhere in the site that indicates this place is in New Zealand, except on the contact page where the contact address ends in .nz

If it's a site intended only for a NZ audience, this might be ok, but at least the contact address should contain the country, IMHO.

1) What they put in the site after I'm done I have no control over...

2) I told them to use the object tag, obviously they only used it once in the home page...

It seems that jQuery make it slow to load.

Some nice designs apart from the footer. I would make it so that the page always fills the entire height of the window regardless of the height of the content.
