Nicely done.
I'm curious how you achieved the photo 'fading' on the gearbox site.
Is it a home grown feature or a standard CMSMS extension?
Cheers, Drew

Very nicely done.
@drew - I believe it is a jQuery plugin, not standard to the core CMSMS.
Nullig

On http://www.autotranservices.co.uk the menu, contact wraps onto the second line. Safari mac.
Re: This years CMSMS sites so far
I can't seem to replicate this, what version of safari are you using? I'm using Version 4.0.4 (6531.21.10) on Snow Leopard. Alternatively it could be my font stack, I'll have to run through it and look for the offending font. Thanks for the heads up!applejack wrote: On http://www.autotranservices.co.uk the menu, contact wraps onto the second line. Safari mac.
My font stack is:- Frutiger, "Frutiger Linotype", Univers, Calibri, "Gill Sans", "Gill Sans MT", "Myriad Pro", Myriad, "DejaVu Sans Condensed", "Liberation Sans", "Nimbus Sans L", Tahoma, Geneva, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
If you can cast any light on which you are picking up that would be a great help!
Nullig was correct i'm using a jquery plugin. If you like this sort of thing then check out http://jquerystyle.com/ It appears quite daunting to start with, but have a go at a few tutorials and you'll be implementing in no time! This is the fairy dust to sprinkle on your website IMO.drew wrote: I'm curious how you achieved the photo 'fading' on the gearbox site.

Re: This years CMSMS sites so far
Hi I just emailed you a screen shot.
Font is probably Frutiger. Safari latest on Snow Leopard.

Re: This years CMSMS sites so far
I wonder how it's looking now? That was an important lesson learned for me, after reading an article on different font stacks, I decided to implement a suggestion. I test on my mac and PC in all browsers, but hadn't thought that the font stack would have varied so much in the width of the type.
I may still need to revise the font stack on this site, but for now have dropped the px size to take all widths into consideration.
Applejack, I'd appreciate it if you could look again. Thanks again for your comments

Re: This years CMSMS sites so far
Hi that looks ok. if a bit small.
I would use only web safe fonts if I were you, which are limiting but safe.

Re: This years CMSMS sites so far
I agree was a little on the small side. I agree I have reverted to websafe, with just a couple of preferred alternatives:-
“Myriad Pro”, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
Myriad Pro is distributed with Acrobat, so is almost websafe.
@Applejack - Thanks for your input, appreciated!

Re: This years CMSMS sites so far
The flower site looks very well done. My only comment is the gray text needs to be darker - on the white background it's really washed out.

@chris F
You were quite right, just changed it to #666666 - looks lots sharper.
Thanks for your input!
