Can't access Gallery module's subgalleries with mod_rewrite turned on

Post by Allanon26 »

Hi Everyone,

Need a bit help. I developed a site for a local Bellydance club. I installed the Gallery module for them. I uploaded their pictures in folders.
It works perfectly without pretty urls, but when I set internal or mod_rewrite I cannot view the subgalleries. I can see the default thumbnails of the subgalleries, but when I click on them it is like a page refresh, but the url turns to this:
gallery/(subgallery name)/66.html

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Allanon26,

Do you have the {metadata} tag in the head of your html-template?

Hi Rolf,

Thanks for the quick response!

Yes, I have the metadata tag in the head of the template. I am using CMSMS 1.6.6 and Gallery 1.1.2.

Best Wishes,
Allanon

Thanks for the link... a weird problem you've got here  :)

Do you perhaps use tags like {content block='......'} in your template? There should be at least one plain {content} tag in it.

I was just passing thru... side note to this.. when I have template that I don't need to have the {content} in it.. to keep functionality I go..

{capture assign=junk}{content}{/capture}

Just a tip if that is indeed your issue... :D

Ok.

Problem solved. The {Gallery} tag was directly in the template. I replaced it with a {content} tag, then put the {Gallery} tag into the Content area in TinyMCE. This way, it works. But still don't understand why it didn't work at first with mod_rewrite.

Thanks for the help guys!

I am really grateful!

Best Wishes,
