1st.  Check your permissions:
Make sure you have the "Modify FrontendUsers Properties" permission, or some such thing

then, when you go to the frontendusers admin panel, you should see a "properties" tab.
clicking on that tab will display all the current properties, and allow you to edit, or add some.

Then click on the groups tab, and add a group.
Give the group a name and a description, and click next.  Use caution, group names are case sensitive (maybe I should change that).

You will be presented with a form that will allow you to choose from the properties you created, choose wether they are required, off, etc, and also specify a sort order.

once you are done that, click "Submit" and you have a group name.

after this, you have a gruop that you can provide to the selfregistration tag.

Hope this helps.

It worked!  Thanks =D  One question, though...when the users register, it says that an email is being sent to them, but when I registered and it said that it was sending me an email, I never recieved the email...and...I don't know why that happened...

Thanks for your help!

It sometimes takes a while especially if using a hotmail or yahoo account (hotmail has been taking hours lately). and also check your spam, bulk, or whatever they're called folders to see if it went in there accidentally.

Time delays also depend on the configuration of your server, how much load is on that, wether it's running qmail or sendmail, and wether the tide is low, the phase of the moon is right, and on the exchange rate between the australian dollar, and the Isreali Shekel.  (Just kidding).

Be patient, usually the email shows up.  and I'm getting bugeyed because I've been infront of screens way too long today.

Well, I waited a full day and checked my junk mail and still didn't see the email anywhere.  Is there a way to possibly have registration so that a confirmation email doesn't have to be sent but rather everything is done right on the webpage when they sign up?
