CGBlog categories with children?

Is it possible to insert children in to a categorie. I dont see the optien 'parent' like in the news module, when adding a categorie. However in the module description they do talk about using * for children, or is this still in there from copying it from the News Module?
Otherwise is there a workaround, because i would love the option of adding items to multiple categories, which isnt possibe with the News Module.
