Issues upgrading from 1.5.4. to 1.6.6

Hi all,

I tried to upgrade from 1.5.4. to 1.6.6. All seems to go well.

I also upgraded CGExtensions, Products, Cart, Orders, FEU and JQuerytools.

During one of these upgrades the errors started. I can not say when exactly.
After the upgrade I get 500 Server-errors (but sometimes, the site works). Errors are completely ad-random in the admin and the front-end.

After getting the errors I placed the new core files and I manualy replaced all the upgraded modules, to lock-out posible miswritten files.

In the FastCGI-logs I find:

[warn] (104)Connection reset by peer: mod_fcgid: read data from fastcgi server error.
[warn] (104)Connection reset by peer: mod_fcgid: ap_pass_brigade failed in handle_request function
[notice] mod_fcgid: process /home/home2/sys/php5/web165-admin/php5-cgi(18935) exit(communication error), terminated by calling exit(), return code: 0

I did a roll-back (cause the site is live).

System information:
Huidige PHP versie (phpversion):  5.2.6RC1-pl1-gentoo  
Server API (server_api): cgi-fcgi  
Server Database (server_db_type): MySQL (mysql)  
Server Database Versie (server_db_version): 4.1.15  
Server Software (server_software): Apache/2.2  
Server Operating System (server_os): Linux 2.6.16-gentoo-r13 Aan i686  

Can anyone give me a clue.

I'm having the same kind of problems ... as one would expect, my hostingcompany (hostbasket.be) doesn't have a clue, which is very frustrating ... please help !

You must provide much more information if you expect us to be able to help.  It is very unlikely that your problem is EXACTLY like the OP, so we need to know more about your situation.

Ok, here goes:

All software is up to date with latest versions.

Errors i get add random are HTTP 500, in the error log appears the following:

Errors i get when trying to open Frontend Users module settings:

This is getting really critical, since i'm using CMSMS for a webshop:

I also started to notice this when upgrading Products, Cart or Orders (i'm not sure, but i think it was starting when upgrading Orders or CGIExtensions)

I am not an expert on FCGID but it looks like it is noticeable on busy sites also google has opinion on this error
