OMG this solved the problem!!!
I had never had to touch the .htaccess files before, so when I read this I tried it - AND IT WORKED!!!
Thank you so much - you have saved me from hours more of combing the forums!
Sending you a big hug
I am slowly moving all sites and client sites to a CPanel hosting company which has been fantastic so far, but on 3rd website move, suddenly the pages would only appear as either WWW or NON-WWW - but not both.techpro wrote: The thing that solved the problem was to create a file 401.shtml in the public_html folder. This file can be one byte long if you want. In all the time I have been working on sites under cPanel I have never needed to create a custom 401 page, in fact I didn't know the option existed, so I just didn't think of it, and it was not specifically mentioned in the forum posts.
Hopefully this will help others who experience the same problem to solve it a bit more quickly.
