Was just curious about something using Album 0.9.3. Its working for me (that's not the problem), but I'd like to be able to show the latest 5 galleries added. My site is a sports based news website, and I'm using album for access to the photo galleries. For the front page or landing page, I'd like to be able to show people the last say 5 or 10 galleries just added. Unfortunately the recently added function doesn't show albums but individual pictures. That's not what I want.
I'd like to have a photographer go out and shoot a game, upload their pics, and then have that new gallery show on the front page so people can access it quickly and not have to navigate down. While all of that works, I'd like to limit it to say 5 or 10 of the most recently added galleries - regardless of sport.
The way I read the Album help I'm not sure this is possible without some serious modifying the original code. Any suggestions? (And none that involve using Gallery - I've looked at Gallery and wasn't impressed - some things I liked, others I hated.)

This sounds much better... There are people working hard on this, trying to make it as nice as possible! Hopefully for everybody, but at least for a lot of us...

I'm not offended
though the asked functionality is default in the Gallery module

You can most likely rework the recently_updated template to pull the album instead of the images...
Re: Question for Album 0.9.3 in CMS/MS 1.6.6
uh -oop! sorry!
Didn't mean that quite that way...
I really like how Gallery automatically finds the images, but having to manually go through and select thumbnails for each level of the dir structure is what I don't like. I'm building some complex directory hierarchies and having to go through and put a file in that folder, set it to inactive, then chose it for the thumbnail gets redundant though I don't know of any way to fix that short of AJAX.
Thats one thing I like about Album, that it automatically selects the first image and allows you to change it, but then it doesn't really navigate the whole directory structure so that doesn't become an issue.
Completely un-related, is anyone considering the SWFUpload as part of an image gallery?
again, sorry for the wording!
