Lose style with HTTPS

Post by CMSmonkey »

Hi people,
I got my SSL installed and tested out my site with it and it worked fine.

I made the changes as instructed in the FAQ (http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/FAQ2#How_to_get_HTTPS_to_work) and so far so good.

Then when I tested https in the address, I lost the styling.

What happened?  ???

I am sorry, Dr CSS, for not providing enough information.  What else do you need?

I just upgraded to 1.6.6.
I am using the Panoramica template.

With the original settings in the config file (before implementing the HTTPS from the FAQ page):
When I view my pages with https in the address bar, everything looks fine.

With the new HTTPS settings in my config file (as instructed from the FAQ file):
When I type in a page with https in the address bar, I have no styling (just text).

I have only placed the {https} tag in one page as a test, and it comes up with no styling either.

I hope this clarifies the situation.  Please let me know what else you need to diagnose the problem.

Thanks in advance.

So I restored my config file to its original settings but I am still using the {https} tag ---- and it works!

Is there any compromise of security using this combination?
