Need someone to update the CMS

I need to get the alias control back of the other versions, see my posts in the general section. If you know how to do this, I'll pay you Paypal or w/e. Im using this version 1.6 "New Caledonia"

I have not tried this, but if you open your config.php file and look for the line:

#Automatically assign alias based on page title?
$config['auto_alias_content'] = true;

setting it to false might allow you to have duplicate aliases. however, i don't know if having duplicate aliases will screw up the hierarchy. a question for someone more experienced. Worth a shot, though.

Well that didn't work but thank you for the suggestion. Any other ideas?

Also, can anyone tell me why this change was made?

CMSMS Has never allowed duplicate aliases... so I don't know what you're talking about.
