Is there any way to show IP address in comments template?

You could use your own hack for comments module.
Doing that you will gain not supported comments module, probably will not achieve all flexibility of CGFeedBack module ("combination of the rate-this, and comments module") and spend substantial amount of time doing that is already is done for everybody.
