blog and forum additions
blog and forum additions
Very new to CMSMS - still trying to decide between this and Wordpress. I'm building a site that will need a blog and forum. How customizable are both these modules? Instead of the forum module could I incorporate something like SMF into CMSMS?

Re: blog and forum additions
For Blogs, you could use CGBlog (for reactions on the blogs, an additional CGFeedback).
For Forum there is Forum MS f.e., but an SMF could be used as well, by either an external-page, or using IFRAME.

Re: blog and forum additions
are the blog module and forum module that are available with CMSMS customizable?
Re: blog and forum additions
Forum has basic functions. CGBlog is very similar to News module.
Yes i would say they are highly customizable. It might be difficult if you are not used to cmsms. IMO if you want to achieve high FEU integrity - it is worth to stick with CMSMS modules. It is much like decorating one's Christmas tree...
In my case, CGBlog is dedicated to "Junior journalists" activity. I am registering blog editors by my self to prevent sh*****g in site. I have created file directory browsable from front end, also tools to publish recorded interviews. I am thinking of implement ability to post video files or albums.
