Forum module - notification of reply or creation of event

I'm using 0.9.2 of Forum and wondering if anyone else had worked out (or could guide me) how to cause a notification e-mail to be sent to the original poster when someone posts a reply?

It's not listed in the Event Manager....  Assuming it's possible through the code, but i'm a little green with regards to creating the functionality myself.

Can anyone provide any guidance?
