Help! google can not find my page!

Post by bullitshot »

I have created a website with CMSMS multi language 1.6.3. it is up and running now but google can not find my page!

I have tried to add the page with google but when I tried to verify the page with putting the extra line in the head section google says he get a 404 page. I got the page verified by putting a html document in the root.

When I try to create a XML sitemap with a site the only link in the XML document is the root site, no links.

The website is: www.lapinrosta.nl

Can somebody help me?

The code from my template is:

LapinRosta
{metadata}
{stylesheet}

{cms_module module='menumanager' template='bulletmenu'  number_of_levels='2' template='pixalhaushoriz'}

{content block='contenttitle' oneline='true'}
{content}

   {content block='block1title' oneline='true'}
  {content block='block1'}

   {content block='block2title' oneline='true'}
  {content block='block2'}

Hi bullitshot

Some tips: http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 912.0.html
created with Free Online Sitemap Generator www.xml-sitemaps.com
The sitemap.xml only contains your homepage... Why don't you use the module Sitemap Made Simple for this.

You have no content, therefore there is nothing for Google to index. You should not have even made that site public yet. Work on adding content, then you can worry about submitting to Google. All people who think that Google must index their shiny new one page website right now are just getting themselves in trouble.

And don't even think about getting submitted to Google without getting pretty URLs and a good META description for every page.

Well, I have content in the page. In the introduction page you can read about 20 lines in dutch so what do you mean that I have no content in the pages?

Okay! I think I have found a problem!

I've got safari in the dutch version and so it displays the dutch version of the page wich is fully filled. I opened the site in firefox wich is the English version and I get the english version of the website and there is indeed no content. I think this is the problem. How can I adjust the CMSMS so that everyone, no mather what country or software language get's the dutch version.

Thank you!

I have set the site up for use of mulitple languages but we aint gonna use the other languages. I have deleted the other languages so that only the dutch version is available.

I hope this is the solution!

Now you need to submit your site to Google. Use Webmaster Tools.

Use "Force initial calling to DEFAULT_LANG" ...
