Question about news detail and news summary

Hello,

I don't want to mention that I am new to CMSMS, because I obviously am, due to the question I have (however, I mentioned it... )  :)

Okay, here goes:

- I have the news summary on this page; clicking on the news title, the detailed news is opening in the same page, keeping the summary of the other news below. Is there a way to REMOVE from the summary the news which is opened in detail?

Like this:

Summary page

News1
News2
News3
...
News20


Detail page

News3 opened here in the whole splendor

News1
(no news3 here)
News2
News4
...
News20

Not with out doing some tricky coding and maybe some CSS stuff...

Why not just have it go to a detail page...

I ma running CMS Made Simple 1.6.6 "Bonde", on Apache version 2.2.14 (Unix) , PHP version 5.2.11, MySQL version 5.0.81-community, Architecture i686, Operating system Linux, Kernel version 2.6.18-164.el5 

If there is any other detail I can provide, please bear with me and let me know.

Isn't it styled with css?
Then hide that partical piece with css.

It's still there, but at least not visible.
That way you don't have to alter core codes.
