Hi Everyone,
I just installed CMSMS 1.6.5 for a new site I am developing and TinyMCE is not showing up at all. The site was originally uploaded to the server using Dreamweaver 8.
I even tried to install the latest from the Forge (TinyMCE 2.5.0beta3) and I get the following error when uploading the XML directly through Modules: "Error parsing XML file. Please make sure you are uploading a .xml file and not a .tar.gz or zip file."
Any clue?

Re: No TinyMCE after install
Some people have trouble with tiny not showing up upon installation or upgrading. Here is a checklist of things you can try before contacting me for further support.
* 1. Please, please, try to reupload the modules/TinyMCE dir to your server. You'd be amazed how many times this has helped people.
* 2. Try to switch on the Static Config option. Note that this requires your /tmp/-dir to be writable by the webserver
* 3. If upgrading, please try to reset all settings. Not nice if you've done a lot of customization, I know, but a lot of things changes from 2.3.x to 2.4.x series of the module.
* 4. Try enabling the static config option in advanced settings. This works better on some systems (like CGI-based)

Thanks to Rolf
Option 4 worked for me!
After spending half a day trying every other suggestion on the forum and in the upgrade notes.

Re: [solved] No TinyMCE after install
I had the same problem. I just fresh installed CMSMS 1.6.6 and set up template and some css. Then when I finally wanted to begin edit content of pages, I noted that there are no options for content formating available, no TinyMCE tools.
I tried delete and re-upload the modules > TinyMCE folder, but it did not help.
I did not want to change the "static config" setting - not to mention that I could not even find it, no one ever mentions in posts where it is. But someone said his changed "static config" setting led to problems with image inserts.

Someone mentioned that changing permissions of the TinyMCE folder has helped him. He had to change it to be 755, but mine already was 755.
Another post mentioned changing permissions of the modules folder. And indeed, after clean install, this folder is "777". I changed it to 755 and hurra! TinyMCE is working!

This solved the last bit of the 1.6.6 puzzle - WOOHOO! my site's back to normal, inside and out, both www and non-www are working again, and TinyMCE is showing it's face

I'm a happy little possum!
