Custom login screen

Post by christiaans »

Hey guys,

While I was tuning Nuno's admin theme, a bit, I figured; why not create a custom login screen myself, just to see if I could. I actually quite like the outcome myself, and I reckon I will be making a complete theme in the same style soon as well.

The idea behind it is that the logo of the company the website is hosted for, displays in the white box. It picks it from the global 'images' folder of CMSMS, and has a maximum of 37px height.
Big username and password fields to keep it simple, but user-friendly.

Well, see for yourself, I just thought I'd share it with you guys :).

agreed - very nice!  Would like to tuck it away for future use; can you provide the source?

Thanks guys. I have some minor adjustments to make, but when I finish it I will be more than happy to share it with you guys. So keep posted, it'll be here either tonight or later this week :)

I updated the first post, it's almost done now.

Any change of access to this theme you have created? I actually am very fond of it!

I can make it public, but it's merely a login screen. I wanted to make a complete admin theme, but that would take up too much time, which I need for paying customers.

But if there's enough interest, I can upload it here.

I also wouldn't mind to this one instead of the standard login screen.

Could you please upload the login.php file?

If you knew a bit about web development you could use those images and make them into your own login...

I know I could... ;)

So if I edit the CSS fiel for the admin theme.. what's the best way to ensure that this theme is kept if an upgrade to the core is required?
