Global Content Block eats non-breaking spaces

Post by jmcgin51 »

I have a GCB with text, and for formatting purposes, I need to add some additional non-breaking spaces between two links.

To change this:
Link1 Link2
to this
Link1    Link2
I do have Tiny enabled for GCBs, so I click the HTML button which opens the HTML editor.  I add 5 non-breaking spaces ( ) in the desired location, click "Update" to close the HTML editor, and the GCB correctly reflects the extra spaces.  I click "Apply" and the changes appear to be saved.

However, if I now view a page which calls the GCB on the frontend, the extra spaces are missing.  And if I reopen the HTML editor for the GCB, the spaces are missing there as well, even though the WYSIWYG shows the correct spacing.  If I navigate away from the GCB editor and come back to it, the WYSIWYG now shows the text without the extra spacing.

For some reason, it appears that the   code is not saved correctly when a GCB is saved.

Has anyone else seen this?

Using CMSMS 1.6.6 with a whole slew of modules, which I can provide if it turns out to be relevant.

Thanks much!
