News Module - show just current month ot upcoming months, or current year?

Hello!
I wanna "filter" some of the news articles to show or not.
For example - Articles from current month. Articles from upcoming month, upcoming months \to choose with a link for the next months\,
or articles from current year... or upcoming year. Is this possible? I see from the help of News module, that i can sort them by date, but just that....

I looked for close module to use-Calguys Calendar. It is great! But one thing - you can't put pictures in/ or more text in the summary field.

Any help?

I see option for News module -
(optional) showall="0" - Show all articles, irrespective of end date
But is there a parameter for show - just from date to date News articles?
