problem displaying images

Hi,

Recently installed cmsmadesimple. Currently having an issue with images not being displayed. I have uploaded images to the image gallery in cms and they don't show and when you go to the url of the site it all loads but none of the images are displayed.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this or would be able to tell me where I'm going wrong.

The answer is in the forum somewhere as I remember having the same problem. It's to do with security and the .htaccess file in the uploads folder if memory serves, I'm afraid you'll have to search to find the post.

Until you find the actual solution you can just rename the .htaccess file (.htaccess_ or whatever) and this displays the images.

I wonder what you mean by the image gallery "I have uploaded images to the image gallery in cms" is this a folder or a module?...

Most all images to be used in Album or in a page should go in uploads/images not the root/images folder as you might do in a flat file site...
