Upgrading from v1.3 to v1.6.5

Good Day!

We have a site that is running on an older version of CMS Made Simple Version 3.1. We would like to upgrade from v3.1 to v1.6.5...
What version should we upgrade to first?
Can we upgrade directly to the current version?

You can upgrade directly to current, but be aware that there have been a number of significant changes both to the core and to many modules that you may be using.

It might be worth upgrading to a 1.4 version, then a 1.5 version, and then current, and pay attention to the release notes!!!

Don't forget to do backups after each successful upgrade!
