Make glossary searchable

Post by rlparker25 »

Hi,

Is there anyway to make the content of the glossary be included in the main site search? Even if it is just the terms and not the description that would be ok

thanks

Not 100% sure, but I think that a module needs to be explicitly coded to be searchable by the cmsms search module. You can tell the search module NOT to include hits from particular modules, but I don't think you can tell the search module to include information from modules not already set up to be indexed by the search module.

you do a search on your site and the item that apear in the searchlist that belongs to the glossary ... they can not be selected ??

In my site they can !

I selceted the "inline" option which you can set in the "Glossary Links Options" section of the Glossary Admin Prefs.
so now i get the single term in a page, without browser error.

Kind regards
Peter

I've set it up the same and get results from the Glossary module.
The result returns a list with the glossary module and terms.
However, when I click such a term, following error appears:
<a name="
Fatal error: Cannot use object of type stdClass as array in /home/w3165594/domains/dewitonline.nl/public_html/tmp/templates_c/Glossary^%%C1^C1B^C1B9510A%%module_db_tpl%3AGlossary%3Bglossary_9.php on line 45
Any idea's how to solve this?

Regards,
Arjan
