Issues with the Content_Image Dropdown in Page Editor

I have a few questions about the dropdown file chooser in the page editor when using {content_image} in a template...

1. Does anyone know a way to make the THUMBS invisible? it is causing confusion with some of my clients and i wish they could still exist (for the sake of the image manager).

2. How do you get the images to sort alphabetically in this dropdown?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

found the answer to #1 

simple way to exclude thumbnails in content_image plugin

now that we know the line of code for modifying the content_image logic tells me there's a programmer out there somewhere who can tell us how to sort these items alphabetically!
