Anyone know of any good ones to use with cmsms? I'm sure there's a few tricks I haven't learned yet with the present built-in module, but the little time I've spent with it inclines me to believe it's pretty limited. So any good alternatives anyone else is using? I suppose I could always use my Expressionengine script for a news section of the site, but I'd rather find something that would simply integrate with the main site design....
TIA!

Re: News Modules/Plugins
Hi Patricia, thanks for the response.
As I admitted, I haven't spent much time with it so the first thing I'd like to be able to do with it I can maybe do with a little code modification: I'd like to have the news on the front page, in the main content area, instead of having it on the side-bar (maybe just drop all the code for it right in the html area?). In the side-bar I'd like to have the top-5 news or something like that, so I guess that would be a feature request...? Is there any way now to feature most clicked/ most viewed, etc., news with tags? Comments? Can visitors leave them now? RSS 2.0. Atom. Clean urls for news pages (some way to do this?).
Archives. BIG missing feature. Is it there somewhere and I've just missed it? That's definitely a must-have. The ability to span multiple pages with a news story, that's another important one.
Oh, and you guys probably know about this already, but I'd like it if the news even showed up at all in Internet Explorer! Some fix for this somewhere?
That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
Thanks again!

Re: News Modules/Plugins
Patricia, thanks for the response. I appreciate you breaking it down like that, but I'll probably just opt for a good plugin that will automate all of that for me. I'm lazy that way.
I'm not sure what the problem was with IE. I couldn't get the news plugin to display with it. Now today, though, it's working. I did upgrade to the latest beta today, but I doubt that was it. /shrug
Thanks again!
