Finaly my own design portfolio

Post by TweeMeterPeter »

well almost then....

I think this is not like the average cmsms website in means of structure!
on this moment some content is still lacking.
The home page show's all the pages as a preview. You can sort by selecting a category on the left (ie design, blog, etc.)

What do you think so far?
I really appreciate constructive critisism (and maybe a compliment ;))

Nice, man. I like it. You've really shown just how flexible CMSMS is.

Hai Peter,

I think it's a nice portfolio. only one note.

The mouseover effect with the stripes is a bit to much.
It makes me woozy.

The rest looks great.

Very nicely done and definitely "outside the box."  I agree about the mousehover crosshatch, but I have tired old eyes. :)

Can you tell me how you were able to get the categories-only display on the front page and some of the modules you used?

Thanks for the comments so far!

I replaced the animated rollover with a static color.

The whole site (exept the 'about' page) uses the News Module.
Every card is a news preview, every page is a News details page.

The main pages left are just pages with news content of one particular category.

PS: I;m running on system 1.5.4.
I should upgrade I know, but I'm a bit scared. I changed some code. Affraid to break anything!

Question:When I back up the database. Does it contain all the Templates (news ie), all the UDT's and everything!

Heu Peter,

Ziet er goed uit!

Eén vraag: heb je er bewust voor gekozen om de links naar de betreffende websites achterwege te laten. Of zie ik iets over het hoofd?

Voor de rest top.

Of alles "meekomt" met een back up? Ik denk ut niet. Dus zowel database als ook de files en mappen (ftp) back uppen.

Stel je templates ed. van je portfolio pagina beschikbaar binnen cmsms?

Peter,
Fantastic looking site!
That's a very creative way to use the News module - impressive.

As usual, the best way to stretch your design muscle is to do it on your own site.
And with yourself as a client, you can have the perfect designer/client relationship, no compromise on design!

If you have any more alternate uses for modules, let us know about them too - it's good inspiration.

Cheers
