Solved Module Manager will not download or install any module

I have successfully installed CMS version 1.6.3

Server Software   Microsoft-IIS/6.0
Server API cgi-fcgi
Server Operating System WINNT 5.2 On i586

PHP is version 5.2

I am unable to download or install any modules. My browser simply times out.

Any help is appreciated.   Thank you.

What was the reason for your failure?

Maybe it would be helpful for other users ...

I solved all of my module problems by moving to a Linux server.

The Windows NT server proved to be very unfriendly towards the Module manager and many of the CG Modules.

This could have been my permission settings which were also difficult to change with this particular hosting company.
