Can CMSMS Protect Files & Pages?

Post by andrewteg »

I see the ability to set who can edit pages as "Additional Editors" under the Options tab when editing a page, but I would like to have some pages only viewable to certain groups.

I would also ideally like to have the same for a group of PDF files.

Can CMS Made Simple do this? If so, where am I missing it? If not, are there any mods I can look at for it?

Thanks!

You are not real clear as to whether you want this for the backend, where you would create groups that only have access to their stuff, or if it is going to be a front end thing where the suggestion above is a good start...

Neither is the guy I'm helping ;) but we all know how that goes. After a little more chat, I believe the hope is that anyone can sign up (so front-end) but certain people will be "promoted" to a different class, like a forum has moderators, but with content and files being the extra access.

I *think* this 3-pack will do what they want so I'm going to set that up and present it as a springboard. I appreciate everyone's input...
