NEED HELP WITH 1.6 to IIS

For questions and problems with the CMS core. This board is NOT for any 3rd party modules, addons, PHP scripts or anything NOT distributed with the CMS made simple package itself.

NEED HELP WITH 1.6 to IIS

Hello Programmers,

Im very new to this stuff, altho I have searched the forums
for what i was looking for but i cannot seem to find it.


I have recently installed IIS on my computer WinXP Pro SP2
I know that the files goto Inetpub/wwwroot

My Problem is getting CMSMS to install on it
What do I have to do?

Please point me to the right direction.

PLEASE DON'T USE ALL CAPS IN THE SUBJECT...

I would/do use XAMPP it is way easier to set up, DL, click install, start xampp, start apache, start mysql, put unpacked cmsms in httdocs, open browser go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin/, create a DB, go to localhost/nameoffolderwithcmsms/install/ hit go...

thanks for the help. and how do i publish
the localhost? do ihave to keep my computer on all the time?

Most times people don't publish from there computer, they get a host server, not knowing what type of connection you have or what your ISP has to say about it I can't give you a definitive answer...
