SimpleBooking -- sql error

Post by backwoodsman »

I have to admit to being completely at sea in the cryptic instructions to these modules:

    CGExtensions    1.16
    CGCalendar    1.2.2
    FrontEndUsers    1.6.7
    SimpleBooking    0.1
    CGUserDirectory    1.0.1
    CustomContent    1.5.3

What I am trying to do is to set up a form on which visitors will be able to register and reserve an audition slot.

I assume I need to create a FEU for auditions and to define the available slots as that user.  The instructions for SimpleBooking are completely inscrutable, but I think I have followed them up to
   " 5.)Add {cms_module module="SimpleBooking" action="USERshowform"} on some FEU user page"
I have tried this tag on different pages and it draws a small form asking for

Code: Select all

     Turn on Booking?:
How many days of booking would you like to have?:
    Hours of Operation?:
    What's your start of day?:
    How long are the apointments?
Which looks about right (even if it doesn't allow for lunchbreaks).  But when I fill it in I get an sql error:
Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the
    right syntax to use near ' 1, 15, 10, 7, 5) ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE BKSet=1, TB=15, SD=10, HO=7, DA=' at line 1
Can anyone explain that or give any clearer instructions for the six modules listed above (all of which I assume to be necessary)?

TIA

Yes, it's still in beta mode, I may have forgot to set the new instructions in there for the last round of beta tests... Sorry about that, I'll check it out tonight.  To make simplebooking work you only need:

FrontEndUsers
CGCalendar

To which they have their own dependency on other mods...

As far as the error what beta version are you using... That error was fixed in beta 5... I'll check back later tonight... I have a new beta to release as well but I was not planning to do so for a few days... but I may be able to do something tonight...

Well... what is there version you picked up... was it the xml or from the forge?  Most up to date less the SVN is Beta 6... Please let me know... if all is up to date please provide more information on your setup.

Just to let you know the next release doesn't have much new just some better ways on what is there.  This is a sponsored project so feature requests on this are prioritized by that.  Thou I'd agree that a lunch time black out would be a good idea.  Let me know on the version you tryed out...
