Possible to Upload to News from Local Drive?

Post by visualharmony »

Hello wonderful CMSMS folks.  I was wondering if anyone knows how to upload files when creating a news article?

Using TinyMCE, I can add files that have already been uploaded using file manager or image manager, but not ones directly from the hard drive on my local machine.

For example, if I am writing and article, it would be nice to add the images/documents, etc. right then, rather than having to upload them first (through file manager or image manager) and then add them through Tiny.

Any suggestions?

TIA!!!

If you add a field definition with a type of file, then when you add an article you can upload a file for that field.

Thanks for your suggestion!  I've added a File Upload field to the News articles, but when you upload, it is going to an obscure folder (ex. uploads/news/id8).  Is there anyway I can set the folder that it will upload to so that it is consistent?
