Image Manager Showing Web Page not files

Post by katea »

Guys,

OK, this has been posted in another topic, but other than the two of us that are trying to solve the situation no-one is replying with any help, so here's my vain attempt to see if we can get a little help with this major problem.

Here's the original topic:

http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/topic,30208.0.html

Our problem is that Image Manager is showing a web page (404 of our sites) instead of images.

Does ANYONE know how we can resolve this?

It's been so long now and it's SOOOOOOOOOO frustrating!!!!

Please help!!!

Thanks

Kate

No-one knows anything about this?

I'd have thought one of you wizards would have some idea .. module, .htaccess, config.php? Something!

Such a shame ....

I still have the issue, but am no closer to solving it...  Sorry to hear you're in the same boat.

The only thing I see is maybe the .php ext. in mod_rewrite...

I had a bit similar problem. I found out that my sessions weren't saved to the /var/lib/php/session directory. That didn't stop me from logging to admin and working there except for image manager. It always showed me login screen inside the area where images should have been appeared. Correcting the session problem allowed me to use image manager again (somehow it doesn't read session from cookie?).

@Fobin:
Is it possible to describe the steps you took to solve this problem at your website?

Issue solved in release 1.6.6
*** FIXES RELATED TO session.use_cookies == off ****
NOTE: This is not a recommended setting, and future versions of CMSMS will not in any way
support this setting. Please contact your hosts to ensure that this setting is enabled
properly.
– This issue has probably been the cause of many tinyMCE issues in the past.
– The install and upgrade routines will fail if this setting is off
– The install and upgrade routines now explicitly check for this setting.
– TinyMCE 2.2.5 now supports session.use_cookies == off (for now)
– ImageManager no longer displays the login screen with session.use_cookies == off
