[solved] upgrading from 1.5 to 1.6

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[solved] upgrading from 1.5 to 1.6

Post by factor1 »

went well so it seems. But...

1. my site is blank. all front end is gone. blank screen
2. in the admin panel, the content / pages page is a blank screen.
3. admin log: blank screen

any thoughts? i have many sites that i need to upgrade, and i cant have this. This is on a test / demo cms so nothing is really lost, but i cant have this happen on a live / real site.

First: BACKUP when upgrade ....
Second:
- have run install/upgrade.php?
- have you read the notice in upgrade.php?
- SystemInformation?
- have you enable debug in config.php and look in your error logs?

ohh of course. like i said, this upgrade was on a sandbox site. no harm really done.

yes, ran the upgrade, and no errors. Running php 5 on a linux box that i have running about 20 other CMSms sites.

debug on. nothing on the front end, but on the admin home i see this. Not sure what to do with it.

Re: upgrading from 1.5 to 1.6

so i re-uploaded files, just to make sure all was there.

Looks like i cleared up most of the issues with CMS sections not loading.

Odd it let me install, when other files had issues.

thanks.
