Calendar generates list of events?

Post by rovercar »

Hi,

Go easy on me! I'm new!    If you look at this URL    http://www.mpfs.org/calendars/index.aspx    there's a pretty nice calendar. My wife inputs info into this but has no clue as to how it works. Reportedly, when you add a new event, it shows up both in a vertical text list of events and is also entered into each day of the graphical calendar. Is the a module that can SYNCH a list of events with the graphical calendar? Right now, I'm using the Calguys Calendar module.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Hi, the two views are both driven from within the calendars module so they will be displaying the same information.  there is a parameter that you set in the tag on the page telling it which display to use.  See the module help file for how to use the parameters.

When you go into the calendars module there are tabs at the top for List template and calendar view template which dictate how the two are displayed.

As an aside I made a post yesterday asking if anyone knew how to make the list view display in exactly the way that it is on your site.  could you post a copy of the code for your list template?

Snowy,

I responded to you post some time ago but haven't seen it pop up in the thread. Unfortunately, I don't have the code to share with you because I don't edit the website. Id I did, I'd use it myself!  ;-)

Thanks for your help with my question. It was enough to get me through what I needed to do.
