No toolbar for TinyMCE
No toolbar for TinyMCE
Can someone explain why the toolbar for TinyMCE isn't present when I go to edit pages... have I left something unchecked? It's set as the default WYSIWYG.
Re: No toolbar for TinyMCE
TinyMCE is run by javascript. Since you haven't given any information it may or may not be a javascript problem.
If you want help, you need to provide ALOT more information.

Re: No toolbar for TinyMCE
I am working from a fresh install of the most recent stable version of CMSMS. As far as I can tell TinyMCE was a module pre-installed. I have not tried to update to the most recent version of TinyMCE which is a beta. When editing a page I have a prompt for "Turn WYSIWYG on/off" but it doesn't seem to do anything. I have tried editing on two different browsers (both for mac - I'll check PC browsers tomorrow). In all cases when I go to edit "Pages" I have no TinyMCE toolbar yet TinyMCE is set to my default WYSIWYG editor. My question really is if there is a checkbox or a basic installation process that I may have missed. The Module folder permissions have been set to 777. It seems to me a pre-installed module should function without too much fuss. What could I be missing?
Re: No toolbar for TinyMCE
I have the same problem as soon as I upgrade to this new version 1.6.
TinyMCE is without any buttons in toolbar.
In the version before it was working.
I checked the permissions of tinyMCE dir and looks everything ok.

Re: No toolbar for TinyMCE
ok, I found the solution!
Just go to advanced panel inside tinyMCE menu and click the last button, something like reset all configurations to the originals (mine is a different language).

I have this problem also. I've tried resetting all to default with no luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Re: No toolbar for TinyMCE
With me it only worked with the reset button of the advanced panel.
Did you click on that one?

The upgrade process shows in point 7 of the releasenotes (first page of the process) that it might be required to press the uninstall followed by install for the Tiny module.

Re: No toolbar for TinyMCE
I was also having the disappearing TInyMCE toolbar and began searching in the forums for a solution. Found this thread, reset the TinyMCE settings to default as suggested and that solved the problem for me too! this occurred after the upgrade to CMS1.6.6
