members area for set up but viewable by all

We have a list of speakers - we want this list viewable by all - and clickable to their Bios/photos etc.

However - we want a memeber only type area for them to go in and set up their bio/photo contact info etc - and be able to come back and change it etc.

If I use Front End User - for the set up area - will the bio information be available to the general visitor  to see  ?

What is the best way to set this up
