Upgrading from 1.4.1 to 1.5.4

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Will I run into any problems doing this upgrade? and what would be the best way for me to backup my information and what would be the best way to upgrade my website?
