Need help with uploading filels to my website. *Error Message*

I've got this website [url=http://"www.thorndalphotography.com"]www.thorndalphotography.com[/url] and I haven't updated it in a long time. I tried updating a photo a few minutes ago like I used to and it failed to upload and directed me to a help page.

The help page gave me this message:

File could not be uploaded. Permissions problem?

If you're trying to upload an image, most likely you just need to chmod 777 uploads/images. This should fix your problem by making the folder world writable.

I have no idea what this means. Is it something simple or something best left to someone that really understands websites?

The problem I have is the guy that originally set the site up is always busy with work websites to spare the time on this one.

You need to use some FTP program, like filezilla, to access your site and change the directory permissions.

If you don't know how to do this, then I would suggest advertising for help in the Help Wanted forum, or finding someone who knows what he/she's doing to do it for you.

Thought I would post up about this.

Had a friend look over the site and a permission from my hosting company had been deleted (at thier end), a simple e-mail to them and it was sorted.
