clean url accident

Hey Ive jsut tried to put the clean urls on my site foilwing the documentation in tips and tricks.

Im getting a:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /index.php on this server.

Apache/1.3.33 Server at impactmedia.ie Port 80

Cant delete the .htaccess file. I cant actually see it. What do I? my sites down...

help please!!!!

fixed the ht thing via hosting. Am re-trying.
