Hi,
I'm a total newbie with no clue whatsoever (with regards to CMSMS - and CMS's in general, and especially to PHP), so I hope someone can help me.
I while ago I installed CMSMS 1.4.1 on a low-cost ISP (One.com) - and yes, I ought to upgrade, but this have to wait.
I would like to use Album and LightBox (or similar) on the webpage to display images in a gallery. And I would like it to be simple.
I have downloaded the following modules and uploaded them to the modules folder:
- Album
- LightBox
- FCKeditorX
- CGExtensions (required by LightBox)
- image-effects (this was placed in the lib as described)
FCKeditor (which I need for the image-effects "hack") doesn't show up in the modules list, but I have installed CGextensions, LightBox and Album.
And now I'm stuck.
Can someone in plain and simple terms shortly explain me how to:
- Add an album to an existing page in CMSMS
- Make each image show up using the LightBox or SlimBox?
It seems that "image-effects" should do this easily, but since I can't get FCKeditor to show up in modules, I guess it is a bit difficult to get working. I Currently use the TinyMCE editor.
I should add that SafeMode is enabled on my ISP.
I will be eternally grateful!!!
thanks a lot,
Nicolaj / Denmark
Help using modules: Album, LightBox, FCKeditor, image-effects
Re: Help using modules: Album, LightBox, FCKeditor, image-effects
You should have read the module for Album. It will tells you how to use it.
If you go into your Album(Photo Album under Content) import in the Lightbox template from the Available templates tab. Add an Album make sure to change the template to the one you just imported. Then go add {cms_module module='album'} to your page.
Jeff
P.S. If you want help you usually need to be on the latest version, developers don't have time to support old versions.

Re: Help using modules: Album, LightBox, FCKeditor, image-effects
Album and Lightbox are 2 different modules and don't work together, Album has a Lightbox template in it...
Your version of cmsms is no longer supported...
Also note that systems installed on servers with safe mode on are not supported...
