Error after upgrading to 8.1

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Error after upgrading to 8.1

Post by coriolisdave »

Help! I've just upgraded my gf's site to v8.1 by following the instructions (to the letter), and all I get is a "site is down for maintenance" message (http://giraffe.classicalgeek.com). Navigating to /admin I can log in, but no content is listed under "Content Management".

If I create new content, it doesn't appear either. The database connection is working for the domain (I currently have two other CMS installs (one 8.1, one v7.3) running from the same DB, with different schema names of course).

Any suggestions? Please tell me this is a simple fix :)

Did you run install/upgrade.php instead of the old upgrade.php? I moved some stuff around to make the doc root cleaner on new installs.

I ran the "upgrade.php" file in document_root - was that the correct one?

Edit: Just ran install/upgrade.php, and that appears to have worked first time. Thanks for the help ;)

Allright.
Living up to my "n00b" status here - the content on the upgraded site is working, but there is no option for a WYSIWIG editor under user preferences. Or rather, the option is there, but no editors are listed?

Help? Mummy??? ;)

Go to plugin management first and install TinyMCE - then to user preferences to activate it.

I didn't install it in the default db? Wow. I'm slipping in my old age. I'm going to do that and also enable it by default on the admin account for 0.8.2.

You aren't the only one, wishy ;) Especially as I didn't see Tiny in the Plugins. Gah. Think I'll just hide for a while, now ;)

Cheers.
