Dynamically Link Fields

Post by CMSmonkey »

Without any other options, I am dragging my project into the commercial forum in hopes that someone can help me out here.

Basically, I need a form field that is populated from another form's value.

Here is the plan:
A volunteer signs up using one form.  The form field that includes their name populates another form in which managers will enter information regarding them (have they been to orientation, notes, etc). Both forms are viewable in FormBrowser.  All in all, as soon as a volunteer signs up, the managers database is dynamically populated with a new entry where the volunteer's name is populated - all they have to do is open the record and enter the data for the other fields.

You can see the original thread here for more info: Here is the thread: http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... #msg156073

I could probably take a look at this for you in the next few days.

I'm fairly familiar with the Formbuilder API's.... just not with FormBrowser.

there are some gotcha's in there that'll take a while to figure out.
