Strange search result

Iḿ running CMS Made Simple 1.3.1 "Havana"
The platform is a windows server with
Mysql  5.0.51b-community-nt
Apache 2.2.8
PHP 5.2.6
Language on the site is swedish 

I have problem with the search engine as it not find all pages where the search text is to find.
There is no logic in what it find or not find, have  tried with and without Swedish letter in the search string but the result is unpredictable.

As many of our customer use cmsms on our advise, we have tried the search module on a large number of cmsms sites on different plattforms and it not work as expected, in fact we use google site search as an alternative to our customer or state that everything work fine except search when new customer is about to adopt cmsms.

I'm very happy with cmsms and I hope someone can give my an hint how to solve this problem or find another search engine

I know it might not seem like it, but there must be some logic as to why it is or isn't finding something in a search.

I cannot say for sure, but I believe that some changes have been made to search since 1.3.1. Please make a backup of your site files and your database then upgrade to the latest version of CMSMS (1.5.4). If not only for the Search improvement, please do it for the sake of security. Running that old of an installation is not very safe.
