Automatic reset of the differents assignations of the templates to the default

I have a major problem: the templates are automaticly resetted to the default one. Any ideas.

What you mean?

You cannot edit template?
You edit but save to default template?

I have 4 templates:

temp1 for 5 pages  > default template
temp2 for 10 pages
temp3 for 5 pages
temp4 for 2 pages

And sometimes, maybe a log out or I don't know why… all the pages reset to temp1. Tht's all; I'm the only admin, i have all the permissions.

I use this: CMS Made Simple 1.4.1 "Spring Garden" MLE

Actually it's ok but tomorrow, the templates will be reseted.

This is very strange, is important to understand exactly when this happens

I upgraded to 1.5.4(a)… I did the "/install/upgrade.php". mod_rewrite deactivated.

Re-upload whole package
if you done install/ you have a fatal error in lib class

PS: as you do to have a cmsms page 404? It will be in 1.6

Maybe I have to try this. Erase the whole install. Decompress 1.5.4 (a) on the server. Perform a clean install. Reimport tables?

You can try to reupload but check for errors and problem in file transfert.
In step 1 you can try to test checksum data (you have some error for differents with original CMSMS but are about 20 files only)

Or delete all folders and reuploads all (without drop your DB)
go in install and in step 5 uncheck DB write tables and sample contents (this rewrite a correct config.php), if all ok reupload config_lang.php only

It's really strange, a new intall does not come with the config_lang.php or config_lang.php.alby. Is it normal? Do I have to create myself the tables for the other languages?

Yes, it's normal in 1.5.4 (no b version) because it's last version with CGB multilang and it's for UPGRADE only
I suppose that you have config_lang.php always or you must upload your config_lang.php after a new install

Now I have all the encodage broken, my global content disappear, and i have a 404 error everywhere on the site. I 'm giving up.

Have you installed b version or modify templates without DB changed with gcb.php?

I did a fresh install with 1.5.4 (not b). I did the intall process without recreate the tables, fresh config.php. The I transfer the config_lang.php. I think it's the right thing. But it's buggy everywhere. I will try to reinstall the 1.4.1 with the backup on the ftp, and maybe we could try to do the process, step by step?

It's the a version, and i did the gcb.php before upgrading to 1.5.4. But the smarty tag {content} stay the same. It's just for the global content block?

No, steps are:
- upgrade to 1.5.4 (a)
- check if works
- run gcb.php

- when you want jump (now with b version, diff file is sufficient, or waiting next version):
  - change templates (for {global_content} tag ONLY) AND upgrade to b version or upgrade next version
(if you change in template but you have a version you have many errors for global_content)

Yes

I did this too early, I think. I reinstall my backups, but, the backup of the DB was done after the gcb.php was done.

It's not important, you can waiting
Important that you move to b version WITH changed global_content tag in template in other case MLE try to retrieve GCB footer-en_US in html_en field and not in html field (same of original)

You have messed release,
Delete your folders and restore your 1.4.1 backup or install b version (if your backup is AFTER gcb.php as you told) and enter in admin and change global_content tag in templates
