Hi All,
Searching the forum provided a partial answer to this, but replying to it flagged it's age and suggested re-posting hence:
To add a link to an external site/page in the Nav menu, would be right to think that this would have to be done using phpMy Admin to insert a new item in the cms_content table, and if so what should watch out for, and what should I enter.
Drawing from the previous post on this I'm assuming that the field attribute would be LINK and that some of the other data would be redundant?
Any help much appreciated
Thanks
Nadar

Re: Putting External Links in Nav menu
Okay, so the only thing sadder than having to reply to your own posts is the realisation that you are indeed an idiot and have greatly over complicated the situation.
The answer to my question was totally simple, and merely required the selection of LINK in the drop down menu after choosing to Add New Content.
I can't believe I missed that.
For all those who read this and hoped I would give myself a slap - I am, consider it done.

Just goes to show there are no stupid questions. Your post helped me over something I'd been fretting about.
Thanks for asking (and solving) my problem
