Moving my site to new location

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Moving my site to new location

Post by waxydock »

Hi Everyone,

Im trying to move my site to a new location on the same server. After clearing the cache, setting the permissions on the lib/classes and templates_c files and moving the files to the new location - I still cant view my pages.

If i remove mod-rewrite by changing the config file, the pages show up but how can i fix it so it works with mod-rewrite? Also im getting this error message at the bottom of my page which im not sure how to fix.

'string(61) "Smarty error: unable to read resource: "globalcontent:footer"" string(61) "Smarty error: unable to read resource: "globalcontent:footer""

I have followed all the steps listed in the guide online and have searched through the forum but im still having this problem. Please help

My site OLD location (works perfectly): http://www.naimanclarke.com.au/websites/cmsmadesimple
my site NEW location (error messages, links dont work with re-write, images missing): http://www.nclegal.com.au/test/

thanks,

Probably because your using table based layout...

Ha just kidding...

If it says it can't read the global content block then you may have it named wrong or called wrong, the error means one of the 2, it isn't there or it is called wrong...

You are running a very old version of CMSMS please upgrade asap as you may be vulnerable to known exploits...
