Heya,
I've been using the image manager, but currently when you scale an image and save it, it gets the extra extension _1 on there. This is not really useful because i would like to let other people use it and they wont know how to rename files.
What i need is the Image uploader to overwrite the file it has just opened.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Evan
Problem with the image manager
Re: Problem with the image manager
Okay, I edited the code to remove the auto renaming system myself. Unfortunately it's hard coded into the module, along with the removal of ' - ' characters and ( ) brackets. That's dissapointing.
This isnt problem solved as those other auto-removal codes are still there, and i can give anyone a copy of my edited module if someone else wants this.

Re: Problem with the image manager
So you are going to turn a site over to or let people work on it that don't know how to do a simple file rename?...
Re: Problem with the image manager
I'm frustrated enough that I have to, yes. My boss is making sure this is idiot proof and now, using the company manager, i have to rework the whole thing now so it shows the filenames because someone might upload a naked lady image or some crap!
...

Re: Problem with the image manager
Okay, just for the sake of archival purposes and if anyone needs this:
I can upload modified modules and libs that will upload a logo and picture from the "Company Directory" Module into a single directory rather then with its own ID. This makes it possible to create a secondary custom SQL backend for other companies to log into, to add but not delete or modify other Companies.
Those images can now be edited and overwritten with the image manager with no trouble with the built in image manager (previously would make a copy, and in conjunction with the company directory module this makes it impossible to change the target image...) , And the module will display the uploaded image in the 'edit company' page.
email me at evan@evanharrison.org if you need this, even when this topic is well past old.
