Hi everyone.
I've had a bit of a look around an I can't find anything that looks like a release management function or module.
I want to have my users able to save a page without publishing it, so they can have other's log in to look at the page and collaborate on releases more easily.
Are there any modules out there that can do this? Like I said I did a bit of a search and the closest I can find is a system that allows pushing from a staging site to a live site. I'd rather something more page - by - page if possible.
I'd like it to be easy to use for my users as well.

So far a staging/versioning system for cms made simple is not existing.
There have been a lot of discussions about this but its unfortunately more complex to make this than it sounds. Its doable to make it, but its also a lot of nagative sides of it like used storage etc.
And so far not anough people are needing this (80/20 rule) and nobody(at least to now) want to pay to have a developer make it. The origin plan was to include it in the new 2.0 version, but its shiftet forward because of the involved ressources needed and low demand for it.

It surprises me to hear you say that, reneh. I have been looking forward to this feature in 2.0, and judging by the number of other posts on the topic over the last year or two, so have a large number of other users. Obviously this isn't something everyone needs/wants, but I don't think "low demand" is an accurate assessment.
How about a poll??
Or see if we can get an estimate of the development time/effort, and start collecting contributions specifically for this feature. I bet we have 100 users here on the forum that would contribute 10USD each. $1000 ought to be a good start toward developing this feature.
