Fatal Error after copying new version

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Fatal Error after copying new version

Post by bob_basli »

Hi,
my site was running on 1.4.1. Then I wanted to upgrade it to 1.5.2 but some modules didn't work after upgrade. So I downgraded tot 1.4.1 again. After few questions in the forum on how to work around this module I wanted to upgrade again to 1.5.2 but now, when I go to http://www.mysite.com/install/ipgrade.php I receive following fatal error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare redirect() (previously declared in /home/w6717389/domains/mekotrading.com/public_html/lib/misc.functions.php:32) in /home/w6717389/domains/mekotrading.com/public_html/lib/misc.functions.php on line 1688
What's happening and most important, how do I fix it?

Regards,
Arjan

Make sure your upload is OK with admin panel checksum or FileZilla folder comparison tool.

Sorry, but I don't get that fas.
As soon as I upload the new version, overwriting all extisting files with filezilla, I go to the link http://www.mysite.com/install/upgrade.php
Then this fatal error displays so I can't even check using the checksum.
When entering the admin this fatal error appears:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare sanitize_get_var() (previously declared in /home/w6717389/domains/mekotrading.com/public_html/include.php:240) in /home/w6717389/domains/mekotrading.com/public_html/include.php on line 519

If you use filezilla, please try its folder comparison : it compares recursively local and remote directories. Hence you can compare an 1.5.2 unpacked on your local computer and what you are doing on the remote server.

I found an old backup and just completely restored the old backup (1.2.3) It was working fine so I just don't upgrade for now.

Hi I need to upgrade now anyhow.
I used a decompressed copy of 1.5.3 to ftp with filezilla. Selected the overwrite on all.
After entering the address: http://www.mysite.com/install/upgrade.php I get followin return:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare cms_config_load() (previously declared in /home/w6717389/domains/mysite.com/public_html/lib/config.functions.php:31) in /home/w6717389/domains/mysite.com/public_html/lib/config.functions.php on line 495
After this I am not able to logon to my admin and need to re-copy my old site again!
Who can help me out.

Btw: I'm trying to upgrade from 1.1 to 1.5.3.

Arjan
