Hits counter

Post by steve »

Hi All,
I've just installed the hitscounter module, but it doesn't seem to work. I just stays at '0'. I don't know where to start with getting this working!

Here's the page (the counter is at the bottom of the page):
http://www.timpope.tv/bio.html

Any suggestions appreciated.

can you post any relevent error messages from yor web server logs.  Or if you can, can you put some debug statements in the code to try to figure out which line the error(s) are coming from.

I've been using this module since day one.  I'm currently using v1.0.2, and not experiencing those problems.

there's nothing in the logs that I can see. I'm afraid that I'm not that hot on php I'll have to go and find some debugging code.

Thanks for the tip.

seems like nothing works with this hits counter. I've uninstalled it. Has anyone else had any troubles with it? Does anyone know of an alternative? I've tried about 5 now and nothing works. I am wondering if the alternatives are not working because the webpages are not static html?

Anyway, any other sugestions *much* appreciated.

Ok I've worked out how to use the stats module but it either causes lots of no cache errors all over the page:

{nocache:55ae5e4d6e01a277836edcd01359c679#2}

or the page is just blank white.

Here' the page:

Any idea's why this is happening?

I was having the same issue and had to uninstall the Statistics module.  Hopefully it will get looked at and fixed.

I'll attempt to check out any problems with the hitcounter module in the next day or two, but it's still working live on my site at techcom.dyndns.org..... so I'm not sure what the issue may be.... php5 maybe?
